Sir John Lawes secondary school opened their doors to something new this week. The word of the week was “effort” and OKM staff were invited to present opportunities to get involved. Students were eager to respond to the Chicken Challenge, offering creative ideas to support families caring for orphans in Uganda. Many students were interested in volunteering as they learned that a little effort can make a huge difference. Thank you to staff and students at the school. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you! Orphans Know More is a relationally based partnership working to give orphans a Face, a Family and a Future. Our pilot project assists Ugandan families caring for 150 HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children.

Crabtree Cake Sale
Thanks to all the Mums and kids at Crabtree Infant School who weighed and mixed and stirred and baked and sold all for Orphans Know More. Cakes were sold in a fast 25 minutes and ₤84 was raised.
