The Egg-ucation Campaign is Here!

09 Easter pic_1.jpgHarshly treated by a drunken father, with no mother to care for him, David fell into bad company and was living on the streets when our OKM family first connected with him. Only 11 years old at the time and already getting on the wrong side of the law, this Ugandan family were eager to draw David in and show him he was loved and special. Such a contrast to the message he had had from his broken family and the village community who had chased him away! Probation officers, aware of the family’s interest in David, urged them to legally foster him.

Now 17 years old,
David is fully part of his compassionate OKM family and is noted for his happy smiles! He has worked hard at school and dreams of becoming a doctor.
David’s story is an inspiration, but it wouldn’t be the same story without OKM supporters. Almost five years ago we started to assist this family who had such big hearts but also huge financial and practical challenges. According to the World Bank, 85% of Ugandans live on less than $1 per day. The average yearly cost of education for 1 Ugandan child is approximately 150 GBP ($250 USD).
Regular education is something we feel committed to provide for all the 135 children within the OKM network. Together we can give more orphans like David a face, a family and a future. Give a little Egg-ucation now and unlock a future of hopes and dreams to come true! You can be a part of our efforts through our current campaign:
Your gift of 3 GBP ($5 USD) represents 1 “Egg”
1 “Egg” = 1 week of Egg-ucation for an African child.
Join the Egg-ucation Challenge!
Our goal is to gather 10,000 Eggs to enable orphans and vulnerable children like David to realize their potential through education. To give some Eggs, click on one of the links to the right. If you are giving from the USA use the blue link. From the UK and the rest of the world use the “Just Giving” link.
100% of your gift, (after transaction charges for USA donors), goes directly to Africa.
