Working to give orphans a Face, a Family, and a Future

DSC02031.JPGOrphans Know More supports African families we know personally who have adopted orphans. Our pilot partnership is with Ugandan families who, 13 years ago, began responding to the needs of those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS.

Training community health workers and counselors brought them face to face with dying parents. “The heart cry of these parents is: ‘Who will look after my children when I am gone?’”

To address the needs of children orphaned by AIDS and war, Orphans Know More:

  • Empowers families through micro-enterprise projects.
  • Enables all children to attend school.
  • Ensures food, clean water, and adequate housing.
  • Provides for necessary medical treatment.
  • Funds local social workers to assess the needs of the children.

Join us in working to give orphans a face, a family, and a future!
